Hawker Cyclon 5.0-12 lead battery with 12 volts

While many modern lead-acid battery systems have the standard plate design, ie negative electrode grid plates and positive electrode grid plates or as armor plate, Enersys cyclone cells use wound lattices as electrode supports. Due to the wound design a tremendous stability is achieved, which allows the use of pure lead as a grid material. This fact, as well as the thin grids characterize the Enersys pure lead batteries.

By further optimization of the electrochemical processes, the cyclone cells have the following special properties:

  • Larger active surface and thus lower internal resistance
  • Higher energy consumption
  • Better cycle resistance
  • Longer service life
  • Longer shelf life
  • Large working temperature range
